As I was driving back home in June 2023, I could see that a storm was rapidly forming in my rearview mirror, after turning toward my destination, I could see on my left that my path would eventually cross that rainstorm, so I kept driving until I found that lone dead tree in the middle of a field and decided to wait a few minutes for the incoming storm, camera in hand. I snapped this really dramatic shot of the intense dark cloud and torrents of rain pouring behind the tree while the sides are still illuminated by the sun! Wow, the power of nature! Ok quickly back into the vehicle before I get drenched! Taken near St-Malo, Manitoba
